| Argyle Chair Perhaps Mackintoshes most famous design. The oval backs have a flying bird shape cut through the timber. These chairs have been used in innumerable adverts, films, tv programs and so on, and have been well received on a world wide scale. The other most popular chairs are the Settle from the Willow Tea Rooms and the Hillhouse Ladderback Chairs. There is hardly a magazine in any newsagent which does not have one of these three chairs sitting in the background. Testimony indeed to the near perfection of style and design created by Glasgow's very own Mackintosh. This chair is also available as a carver.
