| Writing Desk This desk was made for the Hillhouse in Helensburgh in 1904. Today it seems almost stupendous to think that it was not designed in the year 2001 but in 1904! Mackintosh made one for himself a he liked it so much, that one is in the Mackintosh House Museum at The Hunterian Gallery, across the road from our workshops at Glasgow University. The desk from the Hillhouse was sold for almost £800,000 in 1996. We have built three of these desks. Recently we designed one to take an entire computer system. There were no important dimensional alterations which greatly surprised us. With the doors closed you would not know it was a computer desk.
